Owen is napping, so I can do this quickly. I have a killer headache due to caffeine withdrawals. I am attempting to give up caffeine for at least 30 days then hopefully forever. I don’t drink coffee. So essentially, I am just giving up sodas. This is only day 2 and it stinks!
Mason is at school, 5 minutes down the road. It’s so quiet at home without him during the day. This weekend looks promising. The plans include shopping for a real Christmas tree (our first one!) , making Christmas ornaments and possibly a trip to Noel Acadien au Village to see the Christmas lights! We went last year, Mason liked it but I think Owen was too little to appreciate it.

Acadien village is a re-creation of the typical 1800s cajun village. Every December, the LARC lights all of the buildings and they set up Christmas displays. The kids love lights and I find that a lot of people just aren’t decorating their homes like they used to. This is a chance for them to see a ton of lights, possibly meet Santa (if they don’t freak out, this time), and get into the Christmas spirit. I hope we’re able to go soon!

Sooo. Here we are. My first blog, unless you count that rambling I did on Myspace years ago. I don’t. This is my first blog. Or journal. Or whatever. I am creating this with the intention to share moments with Family and close friends. My 2 kids will be the spotlight. Of course. It may evolve into something else. We’ll have to wait and see.
